The Tennessee Vols are reportedly "trending" for a four-star recruit ahead of his commitment later this month.

On3's Steve Wiltfong said on Tuesday that Tennessee is trending for 2025 four-star linebacker Christian Gass.

"Tennessee is trending for Covington (Ga.) Eastside linebacker Christian Gass ahead of his July 20 commitment date," wrote Wiltfong

Gass, 6-foot-3/215 lbs from Covington, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 24 linebacker in the nation and the No. 32 player in the state of Georgia.

Wiltfong noted that Tennessee will need to hold off Georgia to win this recruiting battle, while also pointing out that USC, Florida, and Kentucky received official visits from Gass.

Georgia and USC were the other teams that Gass included in his top three schools earlier this month.

Gass is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 20.

Tennessee currently has 16 players committed to its 2025 recruiting class (which is ranked No. 15 in the nation). The Vols don't yet have a commitment from a linebacker.
