A WWE superstar who is from Knoxville and competed for the Tennessee Vols' track and field team posted a photo with UT football legend Peyton Manning this week that went viral.
WWE superstar Bianca Belair, who was known as Bianca Blair during her days at Tennessee, ran into Manning at the premier of the Netflix series "Receiver" this week.
"So this happened! I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, grew up watching Peyton Manning, and I graduated from the University of Tennessee…so this moment was super cool for me! GO VOLS," wrote Belair in a photo that she posted to Twitter/X.com.
Belair attended South Carolina and Texas A&M before her journey brought her back to Knoxville to finish her college career at Tennessee.
In 2012, Belair told UTSports.com that she initially left the state for college to get away and experience something new.
"I've always liked Tennessee," said Belair. "The only thing that held me back from Tennessee is that I was from here, and I wanted to get away. But things didn't work out at South Carolina, so I transferred to Texas A&M. Things didn't work out there, so it was the best move for me. I can come here and be with my family and have their support."
