Christian McCaffrey finally reveals why Cam Newton wasn’t invited to his wedding earlier in the summer.
Former Carolina Panthers running back had a lot of his old Panthers teammates at his night of celebration.
One all-time great wasn't there: Cam Newton.
On the "4th & 1 with Cam Newton" podcast, Newton mentioned that he did not receive an invitation to the wedding. He and McCaffrey were teammates in Carolina from 2017 to 2019 and were reunited in 2021.
"Damn, C-Mac, I couldn't get an invite?" Newton asked. "Is it because of the Brock Purdy beef? Was Brock there?"
McCaffrey posted a mock conversation with former teammate Greg Olsen on Instagram to clarify why Newton was not invited to the wedding, with Olsen present at the event.
"This was a great night, but you know what would've made it even better?" the running back commented on Newton's video. "If Cam [Newton] were here. I haven't got a text back in 4 years. In fact, they just go green now."
June 29 marked the union of San Francisco 49ers standout McCaffrey and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo as they tied the knot in a picturesque Rhode Island ceremony.
