Wright, a fourth round selection by the Dolphins in the 2024 NFL Draft, joins Jaylen Waddle and Jalen Ramsey in Miami. As you can imagine, things can get a bit confusing with that many Ja(y)lens on the roster.
To avoid confusion, the former Vol told reporters in Miami (via The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad), to call him "J-Wright", which is what he was often called during his time in Knoxville.
Wright is poised to play a key role for the Dolphins this season. For now, he's likely the No. 3 running back on the depth chart, behind Raheem Mostert and De'Von Achane, but he should see plenty of action as his skill set is a perfect fit for Miami head coach Mike McDaniel's scheme (which is built around the run game).
