Late last month, Athlon Sports revealed their annual "anonymous comments" from various coaches about SEC programs.

And former Auburn Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin had some thoughts about the comments….which he shared on Twitter/X.com.

One of the comments about Auburn, where Hugh Freeze is currently the head coach, took a swipe at the brief Harsin era on the plains.

The anonymous coach suggested that Auburn is better in 2024 at the wide receiver, offensive line, and defensive line positions than they were during the Harsin era.

Harsin was the head coach at Auburn from 2021 to 2022.

"Coaches do not make these kind of comments," wrote Harsin in a post on X.com. "They focus on their programs and their problems only. If a coach wants to make a statement about another program, he will not hide behind 'Anonymous', he will say it publicly and with authority."

You can't blame Harsin for being a little prickly after seeing those comments. Harsin, after all, hasn't been the head coach at Auburn since 2022. It seems odd to take a shot at him with that era now in the rear view.

Of course, we don't know exactly where the comments came from. They could've been from an off-the-field assistant for all we know.

Either way, Harsin is a good coach who simply landed in a disastrous situation at Auburn.
