The NFL and networks made a point to the Carolina Panthers after a 2-15 2023 season.

With the Wednesday night schedule release, the NFL didn't give the Panthers a primetime game, making it the only team in the league not receiving a marquee matchup.

This marks the third time in team history that the Panthers were shut out of primetime. The other two times: 2002, after the Panthers went 1-15, and 2011, after going 2-14. Ouch.

During the horrible 2023 season, the Panthers had two primetime games. Network executives saw more than enough in those contests. They couldn't stomach them again.

Now, in 2024, the season is filled with 1 p.m., 4:05 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. kickoffs.
