The Tennessee Vols are one of eight programs still in the mix to land 2025 four-star edge rusher Mariyon Dye.

Tennessee was included in Dye's top eight schools on Thursday evening, along with Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue.

Dye, 6-foot-5/255 lbs from Elkhart, IN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 16 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Indiana.

Tennessee is set to receive an official visit from Dye on June 21. He also has upcoming official visits scheduled for Purdue, Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida State.

“I have a great relationship with the coaches there," said Dye to On3 about his interest in the Vols. "It is about the people at Tennessee. They have a great environment down there.”

Dye also told On3 that he'll commit when he has a "gut feeling".

“I will be ready when I get that gut feeling,” said Dye. “It will also be when I have a good feeling about my relationship with the coaches and when we have bonds that go beyond football."

Tennessee currently has 10 players committed to its 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 14 in the nation.
