2025 four-star safety CJ Jimcoily included Tennessee among his top four schools this week, along with Alabama, LSU, and Stanford.
Jimcoily, 6-foot-3/205 lbs from Nashville, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 32 safety in the nation and the No. 12 player in the state of Tennessee. He's set to take an official visit to Tennessee on June 7.
"They're making it very hard to leave," said Jimcoily to Rivals.com of his interest in the Vols. "I like their coaching style and they're very personable, which catches my eye. I have a lot of teammates there and it's the home state, so they're showing great interest."
Current Vols Edwin Spillman, Nate Spillman, and Kaleb Beasley are former high school teammates of Jimcoily's.
The Vols appear to be in a good spot for the talented safety, but LSU could make this battle interesting. Jimcoily noted to Rivals that he grew up rooting for the Tigers because he has family from Louisiana.
"My family on my father's side is from Louisiana, so we grew up LSU fans and it's crazy to get an opportunity like that," said Jimcoily. "The new staff has a family vibe and being down there, it's a dream come true to play for the team your family grew up rooting for."
Jimcoily doesn't currently have a planned commitment date.
