It appears that the Tennessee Vols are no longer in the mix for an elite 2025 five-star offensive lineman.
Earlier this spring, On3's Chad Simmons reported that five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola was in the process of finalizing an official visit to Tennessee.
Unfortunately for the Vols, that visit never came to fruition.
According to 247Sports, Babalola recently "locked in" his final four official visits before he announces his commitment. And the Vols aren't one of the programs that's receiving an official visit.
Babalola recently took an official visit to Auburn. His final four official visits are set for Missouri, Stanford, Michigan, and Oklahoma.
Babalola, 6-foot-6/280 lbs from Overland Park, KS, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 15 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.
So, yeah, that's a tough one. The Vols would obviously love to have a player as talented as Babalola in Knoxville — especially since he's an offensive lineman.
The good news for Tennessee, though, is that the program is still in hot pursuit of 2025 five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr, the No. 2 overall player in the nation (and arguably the Vols' top remaining 2025 recruiting target).
Sanders, who is from Charlotte, is considering Tennessee, along with Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State. There are plenty of opinions on where Sanders will land, but those schools are all in somewhat "equal" standing until the highly coveted recruit wraps up his official visits later this summer.
