The Philadelphia Eagles' 2024 regular season schedule was released last week and according to the early betting odds, they'll open as underdogs in only four games next season. 

The Eagles kick off the season as favorites up until Week 8, then the tables turn. It's worth noting that all four matchups are on the road, making it naturally harder for them to win. 

  • Week 8 at Cincinnati Bengals: +3 
  • Week 10 at Dallas Cowboys: +2 
  • Week 12 at Los Angeles Rams: +0.5 
  • Week 13 at Baltimore Ravens: +4

Analysis of Eagles' Underdog Games

Week 8 at Cincinnati Bengals: +3

This is easily the Eagles' first toughest matchup of the season. Philly's revamped secondary will be tasked with shutting down Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase. Vegas is being very generous with this spread and that number will only get bigger if they notice that the Eagles' defense hasn't improved at all. 

Week 10 at Dallas Cowboys: +2 

The Cowboys and Eagles rivalry kicks off in Week 10. They're good at guarding their home base, though they didn't do much to improve their roster this offseason. I'm sure the Eagles can squeeze out a win on the road, especially with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore giving the Birds all of the intel. But they might not cover the two-point spread. 

Week 12 at Los Angeles Rams: +0.5

The only game that doesn't make sense is Week 12's odds against the LA Rams. The Eagles typically get their way against Sean McVay and they should continue to this year, especially with Aaron Donald out of the picture. It sounds like Vegas isn't hell-bent on the Rams winning either making them just a .5-point betting favorite. Those odds could easily flip. 

Week 13 at Baltimore Ravens: +4

This week is going to be another task for the Eagles' young secondary as they take on reigning NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson in December. We'll know how this game ends by Week 8. But hopefully, the Eagles can shut him down just like they did in 2020.
