It was about time. We all know it was coming at some point, but the New Orleans Saints made a great decision official on Thursday. They will induct Drew Brees into the franchise's Hall of Fame.

The Saints are known for and by Drew Brees. He was the life of, not only a team, but a city during much of his career in black and gold. Now, he will get his own spot in the team's group of players with the most impressive accomplishments. His former teammates have ben chiming in on Twitter/X as well.

Jimmy Graham sent a message to Brees on social media after the announcement.

⁦⁦@drewbrees would run thru a wall for this man..not a soul in the 504 who wouldn’t. Congrats bro! TDB — Jimmy Graham via X/Twitter

Graham was a key piece of some of the best offenses in Saints history. He was a top red zone threat in football and became one of Brees' best friends on the team. There was no doubting their strong bond.

Cameron Jordan also chimed in on social media, calling Brees his "GOAT QB".

The Saints will induct Brees into their Hall of Fame sometime during the 2024 season.

There is no doubt that Brees was a special teammate as well as passer of the pigskin. He will go down as one of the best to ever do it in the NFL.

No date has been announced for Brees' induction ceremony. Brees will be eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame beginning in 2026.
