Jefferson is a former four-star recruit from Richardson, TX who signed with Tennessee during the 2022 recruiting cycle.
Jefferson, who is 6-foot-5, played in just one game for the Vols this past season. He hit a three-pointer in three minutes of action in a win against Tennessee Tech in early November. Jefferson redshirted in 2022-23.
The departure of Jefferson should open the door for the Vols to use a roster spot on a transfer player.
Vols guard Freddie Dilione V entered the transfer portal last week.
