The Tennessee Vols are among the top 12 schools for 2025 four-star wide receiver Corey Simms.
Simms, 6-foot-4/195 lbs from Saint Louis, MO, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 27 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri.
Tennessee was set to receive an official visit from Simms, but according to Rivals.com recruiting analyst Greg Smith, that visit is no longer happening.
Simms told Smith that Nebraska, USC, and Missouri will get official visits.
"Tennessee had one set up previously but that one has been cut," noted Smith.
That's probably not a good sign for the Vols' chances in this recruiting battle. It's tough to land any top recruit without receiving an official visit.
Fortunately for Tennessee, they're thriving on the recruiting trail when it comes to the wide receiver position. So while it's unfortunate for the Vols that they're no longer receiving a visit from Simms, it's not necessarily a massive missed opportunity for the program.
