The start of free agency was a busy stretch for the Carolina Panthers.
Dan Morgan and the front office added playmakers like wide receiver Diontae Johnson, outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney, guards Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis, and topped it off with D.J. Wonnum.
Though the roster is already better than it was during the 2023 season, ESPN believes the Panthers still have three central needs heading into the 2024 NFL Draft: OLB, WR and C.
The player ESPN believes would be a perfect fit for the Panthers to nab early in the second round is center Zach Frazier out of West Virginia.
Frazier allowed only three sacks in 1,277 pass-blocking snaps over the past three seasons, and he could finally be a long-term answer for the Panthers at the position.
Also, an option for the Panthers is wide receiver Xavier Legette out of the University of South Carolina. Legette has long been the Panthers' fascination. The organization attended his pro day and liked what they saw.
If Carolina opts for a center, Frazier is the clear-cut answer. If instead wide receiver comes calling, Legette is the can't-miss prospect.
