When you have a young, sensational QB like the Houston Texans have in CJ Stroud, then going "all-in" is an easy -basically required- decision thanks to the structure of NFL rookie contracts, these days.

The Texans are doing just that in 2024 and their decision to trade for All-Pro receiver, Stefon Diggs, is the latest example. The Texans sent the 2025 second-rounder they received from the Minnesota Vikings to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for the talented wideout, along with a 2024 sixth-rounder and 2025 fifth-rounder.

Sure enough, Vegas saw what the Texans and boy, do they love the move. Per Betonline.ag, the Texans' Super Bowl odds jumped from 22/1 all the way to 10/1. Those odds place them in a tie for third-best, with none other than the Baltimore Ravens.

The Texans were already favorites to win the AFC South at +150, but that also jumped to -110, now. Meaning, you'd have to bet $100 to win $150 before the trade. Now, you have to bet $110 to get $100 back.

The Bills, on the other hand, saw their Super Bowl odds drop from 16/1 to 12/1 and they're still the favorite to win the AFC East, but those odds dropped, as well, from +130 to +160. It's a move that has clearly made an impact in the respective conference.
