When Tennessee Vols running back Jaylen Wright declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, forgoing his final year of eligibility, he was mostly viewed by draft analysts as a potential late-round selection.

Over the last couple of months, however, Wright has seen his draft stock sore, thanks in part to a strong performance at the combine and film that shows off his impressive skills in pass protection (something that NFL teams love in a young running back).

The latest mock draft from ESPN, in fact, has Wright getting selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 77 overall pick (Round 3).

From ESPN: Finally, another running back off the board. The Raiders lost Josh Jacobs, which means there are opportunities for touches in 2024. Wright averaged 7.4 yards per rush in 2023, which ranked third in the FBS.

At this point, it seems more likely than not that Wright will be selected no later than the fourth round. And there's a strong possibility that he'll be selected in the third round.

Tennessee is finally back to putting players in the NFL on a regular basis.
