Ahead of a pivotal 2024 season, New York Giants quarterback is confident. New York began their offseason program on Monday, and Daniel Jones talked to the media after the team's workouts. Amid plenty of mock drafts with a rookie QB selected in round one or two for the Giants, Jones still has faith in himself.
Jones believes he's still the best option at quarterback for the Giants in 2024.
Jones answered the question regarding the best choice at QB for New York next season with a smile.
"I do, yes."
— Jones when asked if he's the best option for the Giants next season
Jones is recovering from an injury-riddled 2023. He dealt with a neck stinger, which he says is now 100%. Additionally, Jones tore his ACL in Week 9. He and the team expect him to be ready for training camp following his rehab from that major injury, too.
With their first-round pick, the Giants could go in a direction to help Jones in a decisive season. Wide receiver (Malik Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr., etc.) and tight end (Brock Bowers) have been consistently mocked to them at sixth overall.
It remains to be seen if the Giants add a rookie, but if they do in round one or two, expect plenty of clamoring for him if Jones struggles out of the gates.
In limited playing time last year, Jones had a measly TD/INT ratio of just 2-6. He posted the worst QB rating of his career at 70.5 as well.
