Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley has had to earn back his respect as one of the league's most talented wide receivers ever since he was dealt a one-year suspension in 2022 for gambling on NFL games.

Ironically enough, Fanduel Sportsbook recently joined the lengthy list of naysayers who aren't properly rating Ridley's abilities as he enters his the 2024 season with his new team.

Fanduel released a list ranking every WR2 in the NFL. Ridley checks in at No. 8 on this list.

Ridley finished 25th in the 2023 season by racking up 1,016 receiving yards to go along with eight touchdowns. This was an impressive feat for Ridley who was playing behind Jacksonville Jaguars WR1 Christian Kirk for much of the season last year. Not to mention Ridley was coming back after being spending over a year away from the sport.

It's important to note that Ridley totaled more receiving yards than Jaylen Waddle, Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel and Tee Higgins, who are all ranked ahead of him.

Now that Ridley has once again adapted to the NFL game, he is in position to breakout in a big way in the upcoming season. The Titans hired former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan in the offseason as the team takes a more pass-first approach with a gunslinging starting quarterback in Will Levis.

Tennessee's belief in Ridley is evident in the four-year $92 million contract the Titans dolled out to the 29-year-old this offseason. That deal currently slots Ridley in as the NFL's 14th highest-paid wide receiver, according to Spotrac.

It wasn't too long ago when Ridley finished sixth in the NFL with 1,374 receiving yards in 2020 as a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Even with DeAndre Hopkins in Tennessee, there's a good chance that Ridley will evolve into the Titans' No. 1 option at some point in 2024.

Why Calvin Ridley is the perfect running mate for DeAndre Hopkins in the Titans offense

NASHVILLE — Wide receiver Calvin Ridley agreed to terms to join the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday. GM Ran Carthon and coach Brian Callahan added an optimal running mate for veteran DeAndre Hopkins in their new-look offense. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news of Ridley's four-year, $92 million contract with Tennessee. "Ridley is a great […]
