After drafting quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles believed his new quarterback will change the narrative surrounding signal-callers in the Windy City.

Williams has similar aspirations for his career, and even higher goals for what he can become in the NFL when it's all said and done.

Since being drafted by the Bears, it's clear what drives Williams as a person and as an athlete. He's a goal setter and a goal getter through and through.

"I have my own my own goals set for myself and that's to be perfect," Williams told the media following minicamp. "Obviously you strive for something like that and you don't ever reach it, but you keep striving for it. Whether it's a day that I like or a day that I don't, there's always good and bad in it. Just finding my balance and striving for my goal. A big part of it is just sticking to the routine, enjoying the process, enjoying my teammates, being a good teammate, and going out there and working my tail off."

So far in his life, Williams has already accomplished many of the lofty goals he's set for himself. He was already a highly successful college athlete. He's a Heisman Trophy winner. He was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. Even after all that, there's still even more goals written down he envisions himself achieving.

While appearing on "The Pivot" podcast ahead of the draft, the camera on the show got a shot of Williams' phone lock screen that showed his written down aspirations and daily motivations.

The first goal on the lock screen, being the first pick in the draft, has already come to fruition. The second goal has set the bar even higher. As the phone shows, Williams wants to win eight Super Bowls, one more than the current record held by future first ballot Hall of Famer Tom Brady.

For the first time since Williams' lock screen became public, Brady himself has finally shared his thoughts on Williams' lofty goals. While appearing on NFL Networks' "The Insiders" following his New England Patriots Hall of Fame induction, Brady was asked point blank about Williams and offered the most encouraging response possible.

“Everyone’s gonna find different ways for motivation, and that is certainly a way that Caleb can find it," Brady explained on NFL Network. "A lot of people are gonna find different motivations. I found them with the way that I did that were useful to me. I think that there’s a lot that goes into winning one, and you got to set your goals high. I would never tell anyone they can't achieve anything because if you would’ve told me I couldn’t achieve anything, you know that would’ve been discouraging, and I don’t want people to discourage young athletes one bit…

“So I think people should always reach for the stars; certainly young quarterbacks in the league. They’ve got a lot of opportunity, but their career is gonna be made by what they choose to do, and the work they put in, and the relationships they develop with their teammates and the organizations makes an impact. They should have high goals, but at the same time, they’re gonna have to work hard to achieve them, and I really look forward to seeing that process unfold. That’s really where the hard part comes for sure.”

Winning eight Super Bowls seems like an impossible feat to pursue, but, so did winning seven. As Brady explained, the only way to achieve high goals is to reach for them and work your tail off until you get there.

Williams clearly has that mindset and wants to carve out a historic career of his own and nothing can stop him from getting there. Time will tell if Williams can achieve the impossible and cross off one more goal from his list.
