Don't let anyone fool you, size matters.

At least for the Carolina Panthers.

Harrison Mevis, also known as the 'Thiccer Kicker," has signed a multi-year deal with the Panthers ahead of the minicamp portion of the offseason, according to The Athletic.

Mevis, out of Missouri, landed the deal because of his talent. He is the school's all-time scoring leader and he nailed 78 percent of his field goal attempts.

The biggest moment of his career came during the 2023 season when he landed a 61-yard field goal to beat Kansas State. It was a Southeastern Conference record.

Carolina doesn't necessarily need a kicker, however. The Panthers already have Eddy Pineiro, who has been steady through the previous two seasons.

Maybe Carolina merely wanted a kicking battle throughout the offseason. Either way, the Panthers definitely landed one of the thickest kickers in the undrafted free-agent pool.
