The Tennessee Titans are playing "chess not checkers" by bringing wide receiver Calvin Ridley to Music City.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ridley is signing a four-year, $92 million contract with the Titans. $50 million of his new deal is guaranteed.

That's a hefty deal for a Tennessee team that did not want to pay former wide receiver A.J. Brown a four-year, $100 million contract and traded him away to the Philadelphia Eagles instead.

While that's wild to ponder, it's hard not to notice that Ridley is having a lot of fun with his new deal.

He took to Instagram to flex his big contract by posting his less-than-a-year-old daughter holding a wad of cash.

Ridley was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of the 2022 NFL season but sat all of last year out after violating the NFL’s sports betting policy.

When he returned to action, Ridley reeled in 76 receptions for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns in 17 games for the Jags.

Prior to joining Jacksonville, Ridley spent four seasons with the Falcons where he recorded 248 receptions for 3,342 yards and 28 touchdowns in 49 games.

He briefly stepped away from football in October of 2022 before joining the Jags.

Ridley will start alongside veteran wideout DeAndre Hopkins in Tennessee, who nearly matched his production by logging 75 receptions for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns for the Titans last fall.
