ESPN's Dan Graziano reports that the NFL is investigating potential tampering by the Philadelphia Eagles.

This is due to their free-agent signing of running back Saquon Barkley.

The Atlanta Falcons are also under investigation for their handling of signing free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins.

However, the Athletic's Dianna Russini adds that it is "standard for the league to look into such matters."

Barkley was signed to a three-year deal, worth up to  $46.75 million with $26 million guaranteed on Monday. And this came just after they lost running back D'Andre Swift to the Chicago Bears.

This is quite the signing, with Barkley recording over 1,000 total rushing yards in four of his six NFL seasons. And it would have been five seasons rather than four had the running back not missed some games during the 2023 season due to a high ankle sprain.

Barkley previously played for the New York Giants, and is remaining in the NFC East. But he is going to their biggest rival. So that's sure to make fans angry.

And this latest report from ESPN will not help with that.

A to Z Sports will continue to have updates as the situation progresses.
