The Carolina Panthers found a second edge rusher. Carolina is signing former Jacksonville Jaguars outside linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday.
Chaisson is a 24-year-old former first-round pick. He signed a 1-year, $5 million deal, which is a max, with the Panthers.
Chaisson is coming off a career-high 2.0 sacks in 2023. He also recorded 13 combined tackles and eight quarterback hits in 17 games.
He has played sparingly in Jacksonville. His arrival in Charlotte looks like a moment where the former first-round pick is betting on himself to play well.
The Panthers also recently added former Minnesota Vikings edge rusher D.J. Wonnum to a two-year, $12.5 million deal on Thursday.
Panthers roster is already miles better than it was a year ago after latest move
The Carolina Panthers landed one pass-rush target, but reports indicate another signing at the position could still be on the way.
