Saquon Barkley news broke on Monday, and the New York Giants lost their star running back. He is heading to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to reports.

Giants legend Tiki Barber had some harsh words for Barkley after his decision.

Barber was displeased to see the top RB join an NFC East rival. That being said, his comments are a bit too far. Saying that a player is 'dead to them' as a fan base is odd. Barber is a former NFL player. He should understand that it is a business better than anyone.

Additionally, it has been widely reported that the Giants did not pursue Barkley like other organizations did.

Barkley was sure to respond to Barber on social media as well. He stood up for himself.

You can't blame him for being frustrated with Barber. The comments were unnecessary, overall. Barkley got the best deal for him, and that happened to come from a rival of the Giants.

Instead, Barber should have directed his frustration with the Giants front office for choosing to pay QB Daniel Jones over Barkley last offseason.
