One of the things that make NFL athletes so unique is their competitive nature.

Russell Wilson to Play Broncos in 2024
We won't know when the Steelers will take on the Broncos in 2024 until the official schedule is released sometime in May. But with the game being in Denver, it will serve as a not so welcoming homecoming for Wilson, seeing as he will be returning to the place that cut him only two years into a five-year, 245 million-dollar extension that saw them incur an NFL record $85 million in dead cap for the upcoming season.
Now, for this to even occur, Wilson has to first start for the Steelers. That's no given, especially with what GM Omar Khan said at the Combine, what sources close to the situation have told me, and what has been widely reported by national media members, seeing a Pittsburgh wants to give Pickett one more chance in 2024.
So it's a classic example of putting the cart before the horse, but it's a storyline that will bear monitoring should Wilson indeed win the starting job this summer.
