Mike Williams and the Carolina Panthers have a mutual interest.

The former 1,000-yard pass catcher is set to visit the Panthers this week, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.

He will also meet with the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Williams was released from the Los Angeles Charges following seven seasons.

His best year came in 2021 when he caught 76 balls for 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns.

With Carolina looking for added weapons around sophomore quarterback Bryce Young, Williams represents an NFL veteran who could make life easier on the smaller quarterback.

Already the Panthers made a trade to land Diontae Johnson. Bringing in Williams to play opposite Johnson would give Young quite a talented wide receiver room, with veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen expected to play in the slot during the 2024 season.
