The Indianapolis Colts again re-signed one of their own.

With the news of DT Taven Bryan and the Colts agreeing to a one-year deal.

Many Colts fans have a bad taste in their mouth in regard to Bryan due to the team having him start at 1T (NT) during Grover Stewart's suspension. To say that the experiment went poorly would be an understatement.

I will defend Bryan by saying he should never have been put in that situation. He has always been a DT whose best plays come in the passing game, with known struggles stopping the run. So the Colts honestly put him in a situation to fail by replacing one of the best run-stopping NTs in the NFL in Stewart.

With him back for another season, I think it's fair to say he should only be used as a rotational pass rusher on the interior as a 3T to give DeForest Buckner some snaps off when he needs them. With the Colts choosing to sign Raekwon Davis as Stewart's backup already in free agency, if the Colts ever deploy Bryan as a 1T again, people should be fired.
