On Wednesday, 247Sports reported that the SEC will stick with an eight game schedule in 2025, which means the 3+6 model (three permanent opponents along with six rotating opponents) will have to wait until 2026 at the earliest.
The SEC announced 2025 opponents for each SEC program on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tennessee Vols will play the following eight SEC teams in 2025:
- @ Florida
- @ Alabama
- @ Kentucky
- Mississippi State
- Oklahoma
- Georgia
- Arkansas
- Vanderbilt
The dates will be announced at a later time.
If that schedule looks familiar, it's because it's the Vols' same opponents from the 2024 schedule. The only difference is that the home and away matchups are flipped.
