Tennessee Vols redshirt senior tight end Jacob Warren dropped a quote about UT offensive tackle John Campbell that will instantly turn the Miami transfer into a fan favorite.

(That is, of course, if Campbell wasn't already a big fan favorite after his Waffle House quote that went viral earlier this offseason.)

Warren was asked by a reporter to provide some insight on what Campbell is like as a player and what he's brought to Tennessee's offense.

"The biggest word with him is just passion," said Warren. "Probably things that a lot of people haven't seen is just his fire and his drive. The way he motivates his players, his teammates — that guy came here to win games. And he came here to be a part of this culture."

"I gave him a ride home, his car was in the shop or something back in the spring, and I gave him a ride home from one of our practices and I was like 'dude, why'd you come here?' And he was like 'This place just looked so fun to play [at]. It looked like you guys truly care about each other'. That's all he heard about this place was how much we love each other. And we were having success and so he was like why not be a part of that. The guy is an amazing talent. He's going to help us out a lot. Just the passion and the fire that he brings for his teammates is amazing."

Vols head coach Josh Heupel hasn't been shy about pointing out that Tennessee searches for players in the transfer portal that fit the culture that's been built in Knoxville over the last couple of years.

Campbell, a player who admittedly didn't have UT on his radar at first, is clearly a perfect fit for that culture. He badly wants to win, he cares about his teammates, he's passionate, and he's talented. Campbell essentially checks all the boxes that Heupel and his staff look for in transfer players.

And based on the comments from Warren, I have a feeling that Tennessee fans are going to love watching Campbell play left tackle for the Vols this fall.
