What is the Colts plan at WR for Sunday?

One of the most interesting decisions the Indianapolis Colts made during their cut down to 53 was only electing to keep 4 WRs.
Many assumed that this move meant the team had plans to use the waiver wire to add to their WR room, but no such move occurred.
So, with less than a week until the Colts take the field for their opener vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, what is their plan at WR?
As stated above, the Colts currently only have four receivers on their active roster. Those players are:
- Michael Pittman Jr.
- Alec Pierce
- Josh Downs
- Isaiah McKenzie
It would be shocking if the Colts elect only to suit up four WRs, but with their Week 1 matchup being so soon, this only leaves them two options, both relying on the practice squad they've built. Which currently has 5 WRs for the Colts to look at elevating:
- Michael Strachan
- Amari Rodgers
- Juwann Winfree
- D.J. Montgomery
- Racey McMath
The Colts could choose to fully elevate one of these players to the team's active 53-man roster, which would require an additional roster move to make room. Or they can be elevated from the practice squad strictly for game day. This is a move that a team can use three times per player on the practice squad, which allows them to dress for game day without being on the team's active roster.
I think the players with the best chance of being active for game day are Michael Strachan, Amari Rodgers, and Juwann Winfree. These three players were in serious consideration to make the team's initial roster. Strachan would have the edge if the team believes they need a depth outside WR specifically for Sunday. Rodgers and Winfree though, have the advantage regarding special teams ability and offer the ability to line up inside or outside at WR.
If a player is to be moved to the active roster, I'd expect that move will come in the coming days to fully prepare the team for Sunday's opener. Though at this point, I belive the most likely outcome is we see a WR called up using one of their three available practice squad call ups allotted to them by the NFL.
