It will be the Denver Broncos hosting the Las Vegas Raiders in an AFC West matchup to start the year.
Sean Payton is running the show in Denver and we are about to see if his efforts in the offseason paid dividends, or if the on-field product is more of the same from last season.
Last year, injuries reared their ugly head and decimated this unit. Even this offseason, the team was snakebitten by a slew of season-ending injuries.
With that being said, here are the players who will be inactive.
Broncos' inactive list:
- WR Jerry Jeudy
- CB Riley Moss
- CB JL Skinner
- CB Ja'Quan McMillian
- C Alex Forsyth
- OLB Thomas Incoom
- TE Nate Adkins
Raiders' inactive list:
- QB Aidan O'Connell
- WR Tre Tucker
- S Chris Smith II
- DE Chandler Jones
- LB Amari Burney
- DT Nesta Jade Silvera
Observations
Fingers crossed that these limited injuries will be a key part of the season. Losing Jerry Jeudy was almost obvious after he was carted off the field with an injury. That, and the team called up a few receivers from the practice squad ahead of the game, furthering the notion that Jeudy wouldn't see time. Outside of Jeudy, the team has relatively a full bill of health.
