The worst may have just happened for one Cleveland Browns’ starter along the offensive line.
Jack Conklin exited on a cart early in the second quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals. Anytime a cart comes out, you have to worry about a significant injury.
Conklin was rolled up on by Bengals’ Trey Hendrickson and appeared to hurt his knee on the play — he immediately went down. Over the last couple of seasons, this has been an unfortunate common occurrence for the right tackle.
The Browns quickly ruled Conklin out, which is always a sign that the injury is serious.
When Conklin exited the game, it created an opportunity for rookie tackle Dawand Jones out of Ohio State. Jones has taken over the reps at right tackle.
