There is now a notable injury concern regarding running back J.K. Dobbins in the Baltimore Ravens' regular season opener against the Houston Texans.

Dobbins hauled in a 5-yard catch on the Ravens’ first drive of the third quarter. The versatile running back ended up limping off the field after the play, and he wound up needing help from two athletic trainers to get to the locker room.

The Ravens later announced that Dobbins is questionable to return to the contest due to an ankle injury.

The Ravens have called on Dobbins’ number quite a bit in Week 1. The former Ohio State standout has combined for 37 yards in the game, including a 4-yard touchdown run that provided Baltimore with a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

If Dobbins ends up being sidelined for the remainder of the Ravens' Week 1 matchup against the Texans, then Gus Edwards and Justice Hill are slated to lead Baltimore’s ground game the rest of the way.

Dobbins is coming off of back-to-back injury-riddled seasons. He missed time in the 2022 campaign due to a knee ailment, but he still managed to tally 562 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns in eight regular season games played.
