When you think of the NFL's best players ever, New Orleans Saints' utility player, Taysom Hill, probably isn't in your top 10–heck, he likely isn't even in your top 20. And quite honestly, he's easy to forget altogether. 

Unless you're Ross Tucker. 

Tucker, a former NFL player himself, went a bit overboard when talking about Hill on CBS’s broadcast of Sunday’s game between the Saints and Tennessee Titans. 

“I’m not kidding when I think and I tell you, I think he’s one of the best football players ever in Taysom Hill," Tucker said on live television. "I know he’s not a Hall of Famer or any of that. This guy can play quarterback, running back, tight end. He makes tackles on special teams. This guy’s like Jim Thorpe. I mean, can you name any other guys that’ve ever done all the things that Taysom Hill did? He’s like the perfect football player.”

Sure, Hill has been able to play every position that he's been asked to play–from quarterback to running back to fullback to tight end, but he is far from the best at any of those positions.  

To make the hot take sound even dumber, Hill finished the day with three carries for four yards. Those are not exactly Olympic gold medal numbers. 

Nice try, Tucker.
