The Philadelphia Eagles were 100% healthy heading into Week 1, but that won't be the case this week when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.
The Eagles only held a walkthrough on Monday since the game is on Thursday night, however, the team announced a list of players who did not participate.
Below is the Eagles' latest [estimated] injury report:
| Player | Injury | Wednesday |
|---|---|---|
S Reed Blankenship | Ribs | DNP |
CB James Bradberry | Concussion | DNP |
DT Fletcher Cox | Ribs | DNP |
LB Nakobe Dean | Foot | DNP |
RB Kenneth Gainwell | Ribs | DNP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Injury report observations:
- Dean is set to miss "multiple weeks" (at least a month) with a foot injury. The good news is that he will not need surgery. Following Dean's injury update, the Eagles signed linebacker help in former first-round pick, Rashaan Evans.
- Bradberry is in concussion protocol, which is a five-step process that he may not have time to clear by Thursday.
- Cox had an MRI Monday morning and "should be fine," according to Jeff McLane. McLane did note that Cox's availability will depend on pain management.
- The same could be said for Blankenship and Gainwell, who are also dealing with rib injuries.
