Isiah Pacheco means everything to the Chiefs' kingdom. It helps when you win the Super Bowl playing through some rough injuries. That is easily one way to win this fan base over. Pacheco has done just that with the Kansas City Chiefs faithful.
But he last practiced at full capacity with the team quite some time ago. Pacheco has been recovering from the injury and has been seen at practice wearing a gold jersey, which means "do not touch."
On Monday, after their big preseason win over the Arizona Cardinals, he was seen at practice, finally repping that Chiefs' red we all love.
But that sprung one question: Will Pacheco be playing in Week 3 of the preseason?
"There's a chance, yeah, there is a chance," Reid told reporters. "He just has to be cleared first."
If the Chiefs do play Pacheco this next week, stay calm. If he does play, it's very limited action. Most of the starters last week played around 20-ish snaps. Pacheco could see even less than that, just to be cautious.
Nonetheless, we could get to see one of the most fun runners in the league come Saturday.
