The Buffalo Bills are hoping to get their premiere pass rusher back into the fold sooner rather than later.
This past offseason, Miller has hinted at his return. The talented pass rusher has gone as far as to say that he was trying to get back for the Week 1 matchup against the New York Jets. Admittedly, while this was far-fetched (even to Brandon Beane) we don't want him anywhere near that field as it's a graveyard for ACLs.
For those who may not remember, Miller went down during the Thanksgiving contest against the Detroit Lions. What didn't seem dire at first, with Miller even hinting at returning to the football field in a few weeks, turned out to be devastating as exploratory surgery uncovered that he would need to repair his ACL.
With his strenuous rehabilitation program, Miller has been defying the odds and showcasing how he's just built differently. With each passing day, Miller provides an update that makes it seem like he will be ready in no time and today was no different.
A video made the rounds on social media that immediately pumped up the fanbase and has us ready to watch Miller wreak havoc on defenses. Not only that, but it looks like Miller's return may actually be sooner than anticipated.
We're not doctors, but this video gives us so much hope.
In the video, Miller can be seen with a helmet and leg pads doing some light work with the athletic trainers. While Miller remains on the active/PUP list, that could change quickly.
Miller wants to win, plain and simple. He's going to do everything in his power to get back on the field and compete with the goal in mind to bring a Super Bowl to the city of Buffalo.
The Bills Mafia have immediately fallen in love after Brandon Beane brought him into the organization. Since his arrival, Miller's leadership on and off the field has made his contract worth every penny (it was a ton of pennies).
Seeing him back on the field for drills, not looking too limited with his movement, is a crucial step in the right direction. Miller has gotten our hopes up before and he is generally way more optimistic than we're used to hearing, but we like his chances of a speedy recovery.
Here's hoping Miller can join the team early on in the season for a team desperate to break their Super Bowl drought.
Von Miller wants to be part of the Bills Mafia for life
The Buffalo Bills are hoping to get their premiere pass rusher, Von Miller, back as quick as possible. During his rehabilitation, Miller opened up on his future with the organization.
