The Indianapolis Colts walked out of their preseason finale with a win over the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.
While the Colts elected to play their starters the entire first half, the 2nd half allowed many players fighting for a roster spot their time to shine. And one player in particular shows me enough to predict he will make the team's 53-man roster.
Will Mallory

Colts rookie TE Will Mallory missed time early in training camp, which had me concerned he wouldn't have time to earn a roster spot. But since returning from injury, I think he's stacked multiple solid practices, which showed Thursday night.
Mallory led the Colts in receiving yards on the day with 43 yards on two receptions that both came on the same drive. He showed a solid ability to create separation and was excellent after the catch. Mallory also shined as a run blocker, where he has shown himself to be among the best blockers in the tight end room. His direct competition for the final TE spot is likely with veteran Mo Alie-Cox, and with the new offensive staff in place, I think Mallory has shown enough to win the job.
