Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has had quite a past year. The all-around wideout bolstered his NFL Draft stock during his potent final season at Boston College, and he wound up being one of the most-talked-about rookies in all of the NFL during training camp.
Flowers has also emerged as a popular pick to win this year’s NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honor. No Ravens player has ever taken home the award, and a wide receiver has won the honor a mere four times in the last 19 seasons.
Flowers has received growing hype ahead of the 2023 season, and it all comes as no surprise to the rookie wideout.
"They're telling me something that I already know," Flowers said ahead of the Ravens’ Week 1 opener against the Houston Texans. “To be honest, I don't really pay much attention to the media. I just hang out with my guys, come in and get treatment, try to play football and win. I've got a lot more to focus on than that. I don't have to read about me.
“I already know everything about me."
Flowers is set to make his much-anticipated NFL debut in the Ravens’ upcoming regular season opener against the Houston Texans. The former Boston College standout is expected to be quite a factor in the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens offense this season.
