The Los Angeles Chargers (0-0) are set to square off against the Miami Dolphins (0-0) in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season on Sunday, Sept. 10.

The Chargers open the season at home at SoFi Stadium, and with the practice week coming to a close, they remain favorites over the Dolphins. Miami ruled out their starting left tackle, and they have a host of other injuries they're dealing with. Meanwhile, Los Angeles is actually relatively healthy, for once. That disparity in health is likely a driving force behind the fact that they remain favorites in Week 1.

According to the folks at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chargers are 3-point favorites over the Dolphins. The over/under point total is set at 51 points. The Los Angeles moneyline is -166, giving the Chargers a 62.41% implied win probability.

Last season, Miami only won 3-of-10 total games (including playoffs) that were played on the road. They were one of the worst road teams in the league. The Chargers went 10-7 last season, with half of their wins coming at home.

Los Angeles was knocked out of the playoffs by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round in a disappointing fashion. We'll see if they can start the 2023 NFL season off with a performance that isn't quite as soul-crushing as their last game.
