Jalin Hyatt has wasted no time in generating some excitement for the New York Giants since being drafted in April. A speedy deep threat, Hyatt has the ability to be exactly what the Giants need in the passing game.

Hyatt put up big numbers on the collegiate level at Tennessee. His biggest performance came against Alabama, where he went for five touchdowns in one of the best games of last season. Now in the NFL, he's impressing again.

The rookie wide receiver has been turning heads in training camp with the Giants thanks to his ability to stretch the field and create explosive plays. Which should only help unlock Daniel Jones even further in 2023.

On Friday, the Giants will finally see what Hyatt can do in a game-like environment. He has passed practices and training camp with flying colors. But going up against another team is simply different.

He will be able to showcase how his speed and downfield ability will translate to the next level. Hyatt's teammates have already taken notice of just how good the rookie third-round selection can potentially be.

"It's like every time he's out there, he's catching a deep pass and he's making a play," Giants receiver Parris Campbell said. "I've seen him come in and kind of be shy, kind of timid, but then kind of just break out into who he is and show his personality.”

The Giants need playmakers to step up at wide receiver this preseason. A wideout establishing themselves and separating themselves from the rest of the pack would go a long way in New York building on last season's playoff berth.

Therefore, the stage is set for Jalin Hyatt to make a statement and generate even more excitement for the New York Giants. A strong performance in the preseason opener would have the hype train hitting another gear.
