One of the most well-known Knoxville-area convenience stores is ready to take a financial hit this fall, and it's thanks to one of Tennessee football's biggest stars. 

Weigel's announced Tuesday morning that it will be giving away free six packs of soda to fans when Squirrel White scores a touchdown this fall.

That's a pretty decent prize for fans to go pick up.  For some, that's a week's worth of soda.  That's not a simple gas station hot dog or a taco.  That's a solid bit of coin saved, and it could become a regular occurrence. 

How often would fans have picked that up last season with Jalin Hyatt?  Seven times, to be exact.  Hyatt scored in seven games last fall on his way to 15 total touchdowns and one Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's best receiver.  42 cans of coke in less than 3 months.  That's not too shabby. 

Now, it's time for Tennessee's next slot receiver to fill that void.  In fact, White already showed what he could do the last time the Vols stepped on the field.  In Tennessee's 31-14 win over Clemson in the Orange Bowl, he had a coming out party, catching 9 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. 

Josh Heupel has proven to be a master with getting his players in position to take advantage of mismatches, and with White's speed from the slot and Tennessee's different looks, it could be a huge season for him and the Vols' offense.  

And it could mean a lot of ice-cold drinks in Vol fans' fridges come December.
