In 2022 didn't see the las vegas Raiders favor the defensive side of the ball. The only positive thing on that side was Maxx Crosby and Nate Hobbs when he did play. Other than that, we knew coming into this 2023 offseason that there was a lot of work to be done.

The offense wasn't great either, as we all know. However, they have the personnel on that side of the ball to be great; the defense didn't last year but did make some changes this offseason.

The secondary was maybe the biggest question on that side of the ball. Now, the defensive line seems to be a big question after all of the moves. Well, let's change that to a big question.

The players see something great from the position group in practice, especially in joint practices.

"Same thing I always see; the defensive line is relentless," safety Roderic Teamer said on Wednesday. "They go hard; they make it easier for us on the back end with the pressure to get to the quarterback."

Against the San Francisco 49ers, the defensive line was great. You had guys like Adam Butler, who was disruptive all game long with a sack and almost another one. Then you had bubble roster guys like Isaac Rochell, who were showing out, making it look like he deserves to be on the roster.

The biggest thing with the defensive line was the depth. Now, it seems that maybe the Raiders have found something. Sure, the depth still isn't quite where you want it to be, but they still have a few guys that aren't playing up front too.

They will soon get rookies Tyree Wilson and Byron Young back to full speed, and then I think we can judge it better. However, for right now, in terms of preseason talk, the defensive line looks good.
