The New York Giants are adding a veteran wide receiver. He's got a connection to head coach Brian Daboll, too. According to Mike Garafolo, New York is signing WR Cole Beasley.
Beasley has spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his career. He has played mostly in the slot and could provide depth for the Giants. They can use all the depth at WR that they can get.
Beasley had minuscule production in 2022. He caught just six passes for 35 yards.
That being said, he recorded 82 receptions for 693 yards and a touchdown in 2021. There still could be some left in the tank for the 34-year-old. Beasley spent 2012-2018 with Dallas. 2019-2021 was his Buffalo stint – where he played for Daboll.
Beasley will most likely battle other slot options on the depth chart for a roster spot. Keep an eye on a battle between him and fellow veteran WR Jamison Crowder.
