Kansas City Chiefs Kadarius Toney

The Kansas City Chiefs didn't get the news they wanted on Monday, as their best wide receiver came back with an injury that is worse than we would like.

Now, it isn't season-ending or anything like that; he could start Week 1. However, Kadarius Toney is one of the last guys you want getting hurt on the roster.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Toney aggravated the Knee injury he had an offseason procedure on in practice Sunday while fielding a punt. He is expected to miss some time during training camp but be ready for the start of the regular season.

The Chiefs wanted to make Toney their WR1 this offseason with the departure of JuJu Smith-Schuster. With Toney out, we have already seen guys like Justyn Ross get more reps in with the starting unit.

Hopefully, Toney doesn't have any setbacks and recovers rather quickly.
