The Buffalo Bills aren't done quite yet.
After the devastating news that KR/PR and RB Nyheim Hines would be out for the season after suffering a knee injury on a jet ski, Brandon Beane and the front office got to work.
From bringing in a slew of RBs to try out from the XFL and NFL alike to even signing a former third-round pick, they immediately made some changes to bring in some competition in time for camp.
However, an under-the-radar announcement was made throughout all the craziness about Buffalo bringing in another player for a tryout, one that fans may not have seen coming.
Aaron Wilson helped break the news that Buffalo brought in former XFL QB Nick Tiano. Tiano had spent time across multiple leagues in different countries. The journeyman has spent time in the XFL with the Battlehawks, the CFL with the Argonauts and Alouettes, and the NFL with the Texans.
After transferring from the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Tiano went undrafted after playing college football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The talented quarterback finished his career ninth in all-time wins, seventh all-time in career passing yards, and tied for sixth in passing touchdowns. The Houston Texans gave him a shot before being waved. Tiano then went on to sign and be released from the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes before landing in the XFL with the St. Louis BattleHawks.
Tiano, in limited time with the Battlehawks last season, finished with 199 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Tiano sat behind former Buffalo Bills QB A.J. McCarron. He had actually led the team to a week 8 overtime victory but was later placed on injured reserve.
Tiano is beyond a longshot to make the team, this move just indicates that Beane and the front office are never done working and growing and doing whatever they can to make the team better.
With camp around the corner, competition is going to be at an all-time high.
Bills expected to sign former third-round pick Darrynton Evans
The Buffalo Bills are moving quickly, making a decision for a potential replacement for Nyheim Hines. The organization is expected to sign former Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears RB Darrynton Evans.
