The Denver Broncos need up in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball. It is one of their worst groups in terms of talent and depth, and it's even worse now after the Eyioma Uwazurike suspension.

While nothing is final at all, the Broncos did do something over the weekend that may end up coming into play in the future, and it involves a very familiar face.

According to Mike Klis of Denver 9 News, the Broncos brought former defensive end Shelby Harris in for a formal visit.

On Saturday, head coach Sean Payton spoke to the media about the decision to host the former pass rusher.

"We brought him in, and that would be it," Payton told reporters. "He’s living here locally, so it was pretty easy, and we felt like it was worthwhile. We’ll probably have a few others that we look at bringing in, but nothing other than that. We’ll kind of go from there.”

Harris played five seasons in Denver and actually played under defensive coordinator Vance Joseph when he was the head coach of the team. Harris was a part of the deal that got Russell Wilson to Denver.

So, he could be upset about that. However, being a free agent still heading into August, it may not matter much as he may not have very many options.
