This is a great way for the Dallas Cowboys to start the third week of training camp.
Rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker, who has been dealing with plantar fascia, will be activated off the non-football injury list on Monday.
Schoonmaker will be a limited participant in practice as he eases his way into padded work.
The Cowboys took the former Michigan Wolverine in the second round back in April. Despite already having Jake Ferguson, Peyton Hendershot, and Sean McKeon, the plan is for Schoonmaker's underrated athleticism to have a pretty significant role in the Cowboys' 12 personnel package in the passing game and as a blocker.
It was reported a little over a week that Schoonmaker was dealing with a partial tear of his plantar fascia. However, he can finally start his rookie campaign soon instead of being a spectator.
