The New York Jets have dealt with plenty of transition at the QB position in recent seasons. Now, it's Aaron Rodgers' show to run in The Big Apple. Accordingly, the biggest battles during camp are for backup jobs.
One domino fell on Monday. The Jets waived former preseason star QB Chris Streveler.
Streveler was a depth option for the Jets last year. He played in two regular season games. In those, he completed ten passes. He ran for 54 yards. Most of his playing time over the past three years has come in the preseason for New York and Arizona.
Streveler will look to contend for a backup job elsewhere now. Aaron Rodgers, Zach Wilson, and Tim Boyle remain in the Jets QB room.
