DT Chris Jones reminds Chiefs fans that he loves them

This offseason hasn't been easy, by any means. The Kansas City Chiefs have had to navigate the pressure of winning the Super Bowl and being the team to try and repeat for the first time since 2004. They have also had to juggle losing several pretty important players, including their top wide receiver for a second straight year.
Oh yeah, and then they are dealing with the Chris Jones contract situation.
The Chiefs and Jones have been in talks, but several reports would indicate they are not yet close to a deal.
On Tuesday, though, Jones left a message for the fans that may have some of them freaking out.
"KC… I love you." Jones Tweeted out.
Some are taking this as he is saying goodbye, while others are taking this as a message that he just wants to remind the fan base that, yes, while he is trying to get his money, he hasn't forgotten about the fans.
This comes just a day after the reports of K.C. not having an interest in trading away Jones. GM Brett Veach reassured everyone they would not be doing so.
“You have to keep in mind that when we did make that move with Tyreek, one of the determining factors was because there was an expected Chris Jones deal,” Veach said.
“And so, to do Tyreek, there was a concern of, ‘Would we be able to do Chris?’ “And so that was a moment of time, and it was before the draft, that we hit the reset button. And we’re like, ‘You know, it’s really hard to trade a player the magnitude of Tyreek Hill.’ But we’re following that up with someone just as significant and on the defensive side.”
Remember, Jones said he wants to be a Chief for life. So, don't immediately think this is a goodbye.
